This article states how the British film industry should support mainstream films, I find this article true however successful films from Pinewood studios have become well known in the film industry and have brought forward a large profit fillms such as Harry Potter series and the classic James Bond series.

Men in Black 3

Men in Black was first released 1997 where a successful combination of science fiction and comedy these two genres are difficult to combine. With two well known actors Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith audiences were attracted to the film the film had a $90 million budget, in 2002 a sequel to the film was made with an increased budget of $140 million. Finally in 2012 a third film was produced with a massive increased budget $215 million, the film has also been made in 3D this adds to the increased technological convergence to the audience and in the film.

   The design of the film poster corresponds well to the trilogy of the film, the placing of the three main characters shows the new and old generation within the film and to the audience as fans of the film when it was first released would want to see this film to follow its progress while a new generation of audience would be interested in the film as the actors involved are well known in the film industry, the comedy produced by the layout of the film and trailer also the option of watching the film in 3D makes the film more realistic in such camera angles as the above shot and from the persons point of view, these are seen when the actor Will Smith is standing on the edge of a building ready to jump the 3D effect adds to the film putting the audience in the characters position.

   The transition between each of the previous films allows the third film to summarise the relationship between the two main characters; J and K. With an added addition to a twist in the film which involves time travel this falls mainly towards the science fiction side to the films genre on the other hand the small clips selected for the trailer show the comedy within the film keeping to the balance with the previous films.
